The bowl is an ongoing form I explore within my practice. It was the catalyst to my interest in ancient objects of ritual. I am always looking backwards in order to move forward and make sense of my inner world. In ancient Greece bowls were deeply symbolic tied to civilisation, community and were considered ritualistic objects to connect to the divine.

Coil built and sculpted vessel made in Australian stoneware clay, finished in porcelain slip, clear glaze and mother of pearl lustre.

Due to the nature of hand-building, each item is completely unique and one of a kind. With every piece, to every batch made, form, size and finish will vary.
