‘Freedom is the first series of it’s kind. These wall tiles were made out of a desperation to counteract the control i was *trying* to hold onto within the ‘everyday’ of motherhood.  The simplicity of rolling out a slab and the unknown outcome of pattern making with shells felt like complete freedom. No real planning, or thinking happened when making these tiles. Pure flow responding to the clay and tool at hand.’

Slab built wall tile, decorated with shell imprint made out of South Australian Clay, finished in a white matte engobe with 24k white gold repair.

Dimensions: approximately 350 mm h x 135 mm w x 20 mm d

Due to the nature of hand-building, each item is completely unique and one of a kind. With every piece, to every batch made, form, size and finish will vary.
